The American and European roulette wheel, are the two varieties of roulette wheels. Each variety differ in the number of slots to wager the bets on, and also differ with the rules of betting and payouts. Quad or Corner Bet – This bet can be made by placing the chips so it touches the four corners of the numbers you are betting, it pays 8 to 1.

Basket Bet – This is the worst bet you can make in Roulette because it is a five number bet on zero – double zero and numbers 1-2-3, on the double zero wheel it has a house edge of 7.89%, it pays 6 to 1.

Double Street Bet – You wager your bet on six numbers, this is by placing the chips on the line separating the outside and inside area as you do for the street bet but let it also straddle the row above or below, it pays 5 to 1.

Outside Bets:

This are any bets made in the boxes surrounding the numbers.

Red, Black Odd and Even – This are all even money bets, this bet can be make by placing your chips in the boxes and layout.

Dozen Bets – This bets are made on 12 consecutive numbers, you wager your bets in the boxes marked 1-12, 13-24, 35-36, it pays 2 to 1 but if the zero or double zero come up you lose.

Column Bets- Or the number bets, it consist of the numbers from one of the three vertical columns and are made in the boxes at the bottom of the layout instead of 12 consecutive numbers, it also pays 2 to 1.

The dealer is the one who is responsible to keep the whell spinning, even between spins. The ball is spin in the opposite direction of the wheel that causes the ball to jump and spin before it lands into a number. The winning number is marked with a marker, this will prevent the player from placing any bet until the dealer removes the marker from the previous winning number, you must wait until they pick it up before placing your bets.

The time the dealer spins the will and launches the ball, players are still allowed to bet until the dealer announces NO MORE BETS, that is the time the players are not allowed to place anymore bets, and when the ball lands the dealer will announce the the winning number and pays out the winning bets. The losing bets will be swept away by the casino.
