Lincoln Lawyer Movie Rocked

Lionsgate Films came out with their new drama/thriller motion picture called “Lincoln Lawyer” into movie theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and thought it was actually great as it offered twists upon twists, mixed with very good drama and action. The motion picture stars: Matthew McConaughey,Ryan Phillippe, Marisa Tomei, Josh Lucas, John Leguizamo, Frances Fisher, Bob Gunton, Laurence Mason, Bryan Cranston, and William H. Macy.

The film focused on a guy named Michael Haller who is a legal professional that does the vast majority of his business out of his Lincoln Continental car. He commonly helps defend lowly street folks for a couple of grand here and there, but 1 day he gets contacted to help a wealthy guy named Louis who has been charged for raping and beating a hooker girl.

Louis denies all the claims against him,and comes up with a pretty good alternative story as to what exactly took place that night, which obviously, makes him appear like an innocent recipient in the entire thing, claiming the woman hit him over the head, and had her buddies tie him up.

Certainly enough, Michael and his trusty investigator Frank find holes in Louis’ tale that truly irritate Michael. This also sparked red flags with Louis. Eventually, a lot more facts mounted against Louis,so Michael covertly starts to build a case against his own client Louis. However, Frank mysteriously gets killed as soon as their secret investigation gets underway, but Frank did leave Michael a phone voice message that provided a clue that could solve the case.

While all this is happening, Michael still has to defend Louis who he knows is currently guilty of the crime, and also may be accountable for another similar one from a number of years back that led to murder. Michael ends up defending Louis very nicely in court, but secretly delivers a massive twists that gets Louis off for the rape crime, but puts him right back in for a significantly worse crime of murder. They capped off the movie with yet another surprising twist that put a bullet in Michael. It was quite wild.

I believed the flick was wonderful. It played out like a well-orchestrated symphony. It featured extreme court scenes with cross examinations, witnesses, the complete nine yards, and supplied just enough information to where you could see where Michael was going with the case, but not so much that it took the excitement out of it. In my opinion, the movie was very good, and in no way had a mundane moment in it. I gave it a solid A grade.
