Strenght in the midst of weakness
This is something we all want; inner strength. The reason why we all want to be stronger inside is because one way or another, we are weak. Some people are weak, some people were born with a stronger personality, but even they have situations in life that make them feel sad, depressed, sick, or lonely, or many more down feelings.
Some of us realize this as a purpose of life. In life, we will be happy sometimes, and this is because we do not know the future. It is absolutely correct to make plans for a better future. I want my son and daughter to go to college because I know that obtaining a degree will bring more opportunities for them in life. With an education, they can get better jobs in the future.
But everybody will go through hard times eventually. Here is when you, I, and our friends and relatives need strength in the midst of weakness. The Bible is giving us the answer to this situation:
2 Corinthians 12:17 “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I’m weak, then I am strong.”
The Scripture says that if we love Jesus, everything will be easier. We still will feel down sometimes, but if we love Jesus that love inside of us is going to make us see things from a different perspective. It is here when we will feel that inner strength we all need, the power of God inside us. Yes, the love of God will manifest in us when we open our hearts to Jesus.
That’s why the Scripture says that when you are weak, you are strong. In hard times you will feel weak, and in that feeling of weakness you can look up to God and you will feel his presence that gives you strength.
2 Corinthians 12:17 “And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness, therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
Many times we want God to answer our prayers right away. The truth is that we do not know the way God is going to deal with the situation. By the way, let me tell you that God does hear your prayers, but just make sure you are praying with a sincere heart. If He do not answer immediately, you just say thank you Jesus, and by doing this you will receive “strength in the midst of weakness.” You can read these other scriptures: Isaiah 63:1, 1 Corinthians 1:27, Hebrews 11:33-34.
